Peel olives contain a destroyer of cancer cells
According to a study by scientists from Spain, published in the Journal of Molecular Biology, in the skin of olives contains a substance that destroys cancer cells – olive acid. The researchers described the olive as “an invaluable product for fighting cancer”.
In publishing scientific experts stated: in the skin of olives contains up to 80% of olive acid. This substance has the property to delay the development of the cancerous tumor to destroy the tumor cells.
Also scientists noted that olives contain in its composition vitamin E, very important for the normal functioning of all organs. Vitamin E is an antioxidant, it protects the body from the harmful effects of toxins (e.g. lactic acid), stimulates the immune system, involved in protection against viral and bacterial infections, improves the regeneration of tissues.
“Consumption of this product helps the body to fight the threat of cancer of the colon and breast”, – quotes the researchers journal.
In addition to the anticancer component in olive fruit contains potassium, phosphorus, iron and other useful elements. According to experts, regular consumption of olives reduces risk of heart diseases and vascular system – for example, angina, heart attacks.
