Still working through your Halloween candy? You have one week to get through the remnants of October and shift your gaze to what's next: November’s first major cosmic occurrence is a new moon in Scorpio on Wednesday, November 7. The sky is completely dark during a new moon — there is no nocturnal visibility. Accordingly, the lunar cycle begins during this phase, which means it's a perfect time to create a clear boundary between the past and future. Remember, Aries darling, we’re making choices virtually every second of the day. You have the power to decide which notions you want to keep and which you want to release.
This lunation is perfectly timed, because the very next day — Thursday, November 8 — Jupiter moves into Sagittarius for the first time since 2006. For the past 13 months, Jupiter (the planet that governs expansion) has been cruising across the mysterious Scorpio sky. To say that Jupiter has been shining a light on your secrets is an understatement. Jupiter has pulled virtually every skeleton out of your closet.
You’re not even sure what to do with all of the information you’ve received over the past year, but when Jupiter shifts into Sagittarius, things will begin to change. Over the next 13 months, you will no longer be focusing on the problems; in fact, you’ll be guided by solutions. Jupiter through Sagittarius will encourage you to travel, philosophize, and maybe even go back to school. Under this sky, let your curiosities be your guide.
By the end of the month, you’ll be itching with wanderlust.
After a brutal retrograde, Venus (the planet of love, beauty, and money) finally goes back to normal on Friday, November 16. But not so fast, Aries love. I’m sorry to say, but Mercury retrograde begins that very same day. This cosmic double feature may feel like a sick joke, but the truth is it’s not a bad way to close out 2018: Right now, the planets are encouraging you to go backward, tie up any loose ends, and correct any missteps.
Of course, you will want to abide by standard Mercury retrograde protocol and expect miscommunications, delays, and breakdowns. Don’t worry, it won’t last long, and Mercury will be back to normal by December 6.
Sagittarius season begins Thursday, November 22 as the sun shifts into this philosophical, fiery sign. This corresponds perfectly with Jupiter’s movement into the same sign, catapulting an important shift that inspires you to take action. By the end of the month, you’ll be itching with wanderlust, but where will you go?
The following day (Friday, November 23), a full moon in Gemini illuminates the night sky and reveals vital information about your next step. Full moons occur when the sun and moon are in direct opposition in the sky. In your chart, this electrifies the axis associated with distant and local affairs. Keep an eye on your emails, text messages, and DMs — especially the filtered inboxes you never check.
When the universe needs to deliver a message, it will use whatever portal is available. Keep your communication channels open and clean — and while you're at it, apply the same strategy to your hair. Sachajuan's Scalp Conditioner will be sure to hydrate, detangle, and fortify your roots from top to bottom.
